Board of Supervisors Approve New Supervisor District and Justice Precinct Maps

At Wednesday's Special Session meeting, the Board of Supervisors approved a new Supervisor District map and a new Justice Precinct map.

• District 1 flips from the east side of Pinal County to the west, with Supervisor Kevin Cavanaugh now representing the City of Maricopa as well as a portion of Coolidge and the Gila River and Ak-Chin Indian Communities.
• District 2 remains focused on the San Tan Valley and Queen Creek communities, though Supervisor Mike Goodman's geographical area has shrunk since the population of San Tan Valley and Queen Creek has significantly increased over the last ten years, and Supervisor Districts are required to be equal in population.
• District 3 continues to oversee Casa Grande and Stanfield, with Supervisor Stephen Miller now overseeing larger parts of Eloy and Coolidge as well as representing the Pinal County portion of the Tohono O'odham Nation Reservation.
• District 4 retains Arizona City, Red Rock, and SaddleBrooke but now adds SaddleBrooke Ranch, Oracle, San Manuel, Mammoth, the majority of Florence, and the southern portion of San Tan Valley.
• District 5 spreads east from its Apache Junction HQ, adding the Copper Corridor areas of Superior, Kearny, Winkelman, and Dudleyville to Gold Canyon and Queen Valley. Supervisor Jeff Serdy will now also oversee a portion of Florence and represent the Pinal County portion of the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation.

Every voter will be receiving a new Voter ID card due to the impact of the redistricting process on Congressional Districts, Legislative Districts, Board of Supervisor Districts, and Justice Precincts.
